With only about two weeks left before Thanksgiving, it’s easy to see that Autumn is definitely moving quickly. With the days growing shorter and busier though, we know that it always does go fast and it will only go faster. So, before fall gets away from us, we’re asking that you join your local Mayflower moving agent, Premier Relocations, as we act quickly to help Gleaners Food Bank provide much-needed Thanksgiving meals for another year.
If you flash back to 2013, participants in the “Thanksgiving on the Mayflower” program worked to collect over 14,000 pounds of food, which provided almost 12,000 meals to people in our community who might not otherwise have a real Thanksgiving. We celebrated that success, but we’re keenly aware that there are still individuals and families not far from us who could benefit from our ability to provide. With that in mind and close to our hearts, our goal this year is for our Mayflower moving team to drive the effort in doubling our 2013 total (bringing it to a goal of 28,000 pounds) and doing more to help meet the need.
We’re confident that many reading this are willing and able to help fill up our Mayflower moving trucks with food and donations. Will you be one of them?
